JOB TITLE: COORDINATOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE & EVENTS
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING & EVENTS
REPORTS TO: EVENTS DIRECTOR
WAGE CATEGORY: NON-EXEMPT

JOB STATEMENT:

Under supervision of the Events Director, provides support for Events department as a team member, assisting in all aspects of event planning, execution and reporting.  Administers the Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Program and oversees the annual customer service luncheon in coordination with volunteer committee.  Performs administrative duties required to set up and implement procedures required to maintain database, execute awards presentations, and build program. Actively supports and participates in Chamber events and functions. Professionalism, customer service, teamwork and communications are prerequisites at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / OBJECTIVES

  • Serves as Chamber support staff to work with Event Director to confirm sponsors, site locations, vendors and planning committee confirms sponsorships of all CSE programs and related activities
  • Provides support for Chamber events
  • Creates and maintains CSE database files, correspondence, merges and mailings
  • Coordinates all award ceremonies including preparation, certificate distribution, scheduling, meetings, program reports and program supplies
  • Maintains and builds relationships with new/participating companies
  • Coordinates volunteers for CSE programs
  • Serves as CSE spokesperson at Team Member of the Month luncheons (as noted via sponsorship agreements)
  • Assists with securing sponsorships and other financial support for program
  • Provides data and analysis to support planning and budgeting process
  • Assists in all aspects of the department, including internal event set up and take down
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum requirement high school diploma, college degree, preferred
  • Knowledge of Chamber policies and member benefits
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Minimum keyboarding skills at 60 wpm, experience and proficiency in database, Excel, MS Word, ACCESS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a high degree of professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and administrative skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced office environment and independently prioritize work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Understands accounting procedures and able to prepare and monitor budgets
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, self-starter, creative, passionate about service, strong verbal and written skills, high energy, flexible, solution oriented
  • Must become proficient in operation of venue audio visual equipment
  • Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information
  • Full-time position with ability to work flexible weekly hours and weekends as required
  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license
