The Metro Chamber has expanded its policy committees to connect you with the pressing issues facing employers and employees in Southern Nevada. Policy committees serve as forums for Metro Chamber members and their employees to learn about issues, share their perspectives, ask questions, and build relationships with others in the business community who share common interests, want to improve Southern Nevada, and make sure it remains a great place to do business.
All policy committees are open exclusively to Chamber members and their employees.

The Health Care Policy Committee gives members and their employees the opportunity to learn about and gain insight on key topics in the changing landscape of healthcare. Topics have included the growth of medical education in Southern Nevada, the need for Graduate Medical Education, and medical tourism.
The K–12 Education Policy Committee is a forum for members to learn about and engage on issues important to primary and secondary education in Clark County and throughout the state. Topics have included the reorganization of the Clark County School District, common core, and graduation rates.
The Higher Education Policy Committee gives members the opportunity to study and discuss higher education in Nevada. Previous topics of discussion have included community college alignment, workforce development, and workforce readiness.
The Local Government Policy Committee gives members and their employees the opportunity to learn about local government issues that impact businesses. Members will hear presentations and have the opportunity to share their perspectives on important community issues. Previous topics have included the development of Symphony Park and transportation infrastructure.
The Insurance Policy Committee is a forum for members to discuss relevant issues to Southern Nevada’s insurance industry. Members will engage on issues in health, as well as property and casualty, insurance sectors.
Transportation & Infrastructure
The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee promotes and supports understanding, development, funding and implementation of infrastructure projects in Southern Nevada and examines statewide policies related to transportation and infrastructure.
Workforce & Workplace
The Workforce & Workplace Policy Committee examines trends, policies, and areas of interest in the subject of workplace, employees, workforce development. The first meeting delved into the impact of legalized marijuana on workplace, human resources, and liability.
